Directions to the college campus

By Train: (Top)
  • IND - A or D express or B or local to 145th Street (St. Nicholas Avenue). Walk west for one block and turn left to Convent Avenue. Walk along

  • Convent Avenue and you will find the gate of the City College. To find the
    classroom, please see the attached campus map.
  • IRT  - No. 1/9 local (7th Avenue) to 137th Street (Broadway).Walk to 138th Street then turn east. Walk for one block you will find Convent Avenue in the campus. No. 4 (Woodlawn-Jerome) and No. 5 (Dyre Avenue) express or No.6 (Pelham Bay Parkchester) to 125th Street (Lexington Avenue). Change there for the M-100 or M-101 bus to Amsterdam Avenue, adjacent to the campus. To find the classroom, please see the attached campus map. 
  • Metro North   (Harlem division or New Haven line) to 125th Street (Park Avenue) and change there for the M-100 or M-101 bus to Amsterdam Avenue; or to Grand Central Station, and change for the IND or IRT (7th Avenue).
By Bus: (Top)
  • M-4 (Madison Avenue) to Broadway between 135th And 140th Streets, walk east up the hill to the campus. 
  • M-5 (Sixth Avenue: Riverside Drive) to Broadway between 135th and 140th Streets, walk east up hill to the campus. 
  • M-11 (Ninth Avenue; Amsterdam Avenue) to 135th and Amsterdam Avenue, change to the M-100 or M-101 or walk north to the campus. 
  • M-18 Runs directly through City College campus; it runs to 8th St. in the East Village (downtown) and to 193rd St. in Fort George (uptown). 
  • M-100, M-101 (Third Avenue) to Amsterdam Avenue, adjacent to the campus. 
  • BX-19 To 145th and Convent Avenue; walk south to the campus.
Note: City College operates shuttle buses between the campus and the 137th Street (Broadway) and 145th Street (St. Nicholas) subway stations.

Parking On Campus: (Top)

A limited number of parking spaces are available for Day Session students. All Evening Division students may obtain parking spots on the South Campus for use after 4:00 p.m. Day Session students may obtain applications for parking from the office of the Vice President for Student Affairs (Administration 201; 650-5426). Evening Divisions students will find applications for parking permits included with their registration materials. There is a fee per semester for parking.
