10.1 Criticality graph and data simplification and organization.

As mentioned above, we can use the volume of a zone to remove criticalities with small effect. For example one might remove maxima (and associated saddles) that create very small objects that immediately merge with a larger object, or one can remove saddles that create holes that are smaller than the sampling distance. This depends, of course on the application, and whether one regards such small scale topological changes as essential or reflective of noise.
