On 30 November, the Environmental Protection Department (EPD) and the Hong Kong Institute of Qualified Environmental Professionals (HKIQEP) co-hosted a joint seminar aimed at advancing sustainable development in Hong Kong. The event aligns with the Hong Kong Government's vision of establishing the city as a green technology and finance hub.
During the seminar, the Capacity-building Alliance for Sustainable Investment (CASI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with HKIQEP to strengthen professional capacity building and promote regional green economic cooperation. Dr. Ma Jun, Chairman of CASI, gave a brief introduction to the alliance and shared insights on the important role that capacity building, including initiatives under the CASI Academy, can play in supporting the growth of the sustainable finance industry both in Hong Kong and beyond. He underscored the value of closer collaboration between CASI and professional institutions, such as HKIQEP, in co-developing learning contents and training programmes for the Hong Kong sustainability community.
